     The Westmore PTA will be amending their budget to innclude $2,000 to purchase paper and supplies for the teachers at Westmore Elementary.   If you have questions or concerns, please contact Jennifer Asplund, PTA President, at 431-0913.

February 2007 Newsletter
     Thank you, thank you, parent volunteers for all you do!  We are so excited about your enthousiasm to help in the classroom.  It not only benefits the teachers, but the students as well.  We want to remind those of you who have pledged to volunteer two hours permonth to come on Picture Day and have your photo taken for your permanent ID badge.  We are hoping to have our check-in/out system up and running by October 1.  Make sure you walk through the main office (so they can see you) and then go into the Guided Reading Library to check-in and out.  You'll have a barcode assigned to you permanently so you can just scan it for convenience.  Also, for those of you who do work at home, please make sure you track your time so we can submit the total hours.  If you are still interested in lending a hand but don't know what to do, give us a call and we'll put you on our weekly email list of volunteer opportunities.  Then you can see what works for you and your schedule.
     Coming up in November, we'll be putting together a Vestmore Cookbook (similar to what we did in 2010, so if you're looking for holiday gifts for friends and family, these are perfect!   Watch for recipe pages to come home in early November.
     Thanks to my board and volunteers for all their help in this first month.   Without them, we just wouldn't be where we are today!
