A Day in the Life of...Me.
My life is a very busy one each day. I work often at a second job daily in the morning early before school and after school sometimes. I have been working for a wonderful company called, US Synthetic for nearly twenty-seven years part time. I have really enjoyed working for this fantastic company. I have no set hours and I just come in an get my job done with little fuss from supervisors who respect my work. This wonderful company has bonus checks four times a year, benefits are better than anyone else, and they pay their employees very well. If you are looking for a very good company to work for, I could highly recommend them to anyone!
I work at both my grade schools each day teaching valuable computer skills such as, keyboarding, spreadsheet, word processing, power point, I-photo, etc. I’m blessed with relatively new computers at both schools. Lindon Elementary has new MacBook laptops with the new Intel duel processors inside the computers, whereas my other school at Valley View Elementary has the eMac computers with G4 processors in the computer lab. My students are striving to learn how to use the Microsoft Office programs (OSX): Word, PowerPoint, and excel. They are also learning how to utilize the wonderful I-Life programs that come with every Macintosh computer, such as Garage Band, I-Tunes, I-Photo, I-Movie, and I-DVD. We also have have Kidpix, and we teach them how to do web research, and to take tests on the web, PANUTIPS or SURWEB.
I’m a very active church member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. I became an active member when I was going through the last years of high school in Kansas City, Kansas. Throughout the years I have had the fantastic opportunity to serve as a missionary (Texas - San Antonio Mission, 1973-75) for the church, work in many different Boy Scouts callings, and have been blessed to even serve in leadership positions in the church.
Todays world is much changed from the times I grew up. Crime and evil is much more evident each day of our lives. We have to work consistently to be careful from it’s damaging effects in one’s life.
I enjoy working hard, and I also enjoy helping others in life. Learning new things in the technology world is fun and I enjoy sharing what I’ve have learned with others.
My hope is that you will enjoy your visit to my website and will better understand me as an individual. If you have questions you would like to ask me, feel free to email (emailto:asbu277@alpine.k12.ut.us) me. Thank you!
